An action-packed romantic comedy chock-full of monsters such as vampires, werewolves, witches, and cute girls in bikinis that fosters inter-species tolerance! Average human teenager Tsukune accidentally enrolls at a boarding school for monsters--no, not jocks and popular kids, but bona fide werewolves, witches and unnameables out of his wildest nightmares! On the plus side, all the girls have a monster crush on him. On the negative side, all the boys are so jealous they want to kill him! And so do the girls he spurns, because he only has eyes for one of them--the far-from-average vampire Moka. On the plus side, Moka only has glowing red eyes for Tsukune. On the O-negative side, she also has a burning, unquenchable thirst for his blood...
Reads R to L (Japanese Style) for teen plus audiences.
Akihisa Ikeda (池田晃久) is a manga artist/manga-ka best known for the manga series Rosario + Vampire (ロザリオとバンパイア Rosario to Vampire). He's been a huge fan of vampires and monsters since he was a little kid. He says one of the perks of being a manga artist is being able to go for walks during the day when everybody else is stuck in the office.
The series has come such a long way since the start- its sort of crazy to think back on the old Tsukune and compare him to what he has become in this volume.
This is not one of my favorite volumes, mainly because it is almost purely fighting and I’m not a huge fan of the battle scenes. I know they are necessary and this is the big finale, but still not my favorite. I sort of miss the old Tsukune.

This had good fights and good emotional journeys and by gun! I loved when Moka and Tsukune fought diode by side. I also felt sorry for Moka's sisters all of them and how their mother makes me angry. Even though I am close to the ending I know that there is still yet more to see!
The fight with Fairy Tale continues all of the remaining forces unite at last for what could be the final battle between those wishing to keep Alucard asleep and those that wish to awaken his horrible power.
The fights in this series are amazing thanks in no small part to the artist's ability to depict not only action but emotions within each of the characters in this series as well. In my opinion I think this sries has gotten a lot better since it has gotten out of the academy and the characters had to become stronger to save Moka.
My favorite part in the book would have to be when Gin and Haiji transform catching the vampires by surprise. Besides being a major shift in the battle it turns out Haiji is a Tengu which is still one of my favorite creatures from Japanese mythology. :)
Wow, this was an action-packed volume! So many things happening, and I cried a few times.
I really hope though that we are not nearing the ending of the manga. I would be pretty sad, and I would love to see another school year with the characters.
Rosario+vampire is a good akuma based manga. It has a good art style and a good plot line. The akuma concept is good and very entertaining. Characters are good and interesting. The second season of rosario brings more plot, characters and twist. Very entertaining and darker than the first season.
