Please help support Adam

As friends and coworkers of Adam (a.k.a Bucky) Buckwalter, we want to try to work cooperatively to help him, as he so often helps others, but does not ask for help.

Adam had a traumatic chainsaw accident on October 18th, 2020, resulting in severing the patellar tendon in his left leg.

Thankfully someone was nearby, and he was taken by ambulance to MDI Hospital where emergency surgery was performed. He was in hospital for 5 days following surgery, receiving care and occupational therapy so he could manage the basics at home alone with his dog, Lulu. Two months after 3 months of physical therapy, Bucky was able to resume some of his work, but with limitations. He moves more slowly, has difficulty going up and down hills and embankments, and still has difficulty with stairs and standing still on hard surfaces.

In addition to these many challenges, Adam was left with medical bills in excess of $42,000.

At the time of the accident he held a seasonal position at Acadia National Park so had no health insurance. He is a very kind person, always willing to help others in the community. He is a very hard worker, and always keeps others smiling.

This kind of occurrence has had a great affect on Bucky's life, but he continues to work hard, help others, and maintain a very good and positive attitude and perspective. He is known for his good nature.

Please help to lift the weight of these medical bills from Adam by contributing.
