Pupnatska Luka Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nikrmana: Unfortunately there's been some continuing issues with this cache and there is no reaction from the owner. Thus as there is no option to replace the cache, I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, please contact Geo Sova or Nikrmana by send email from their profile, with a cache GC number included. Assuming cache meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

EN: Pupnatska Luka is a natural bay on the south side of the Korcula island, with a beautiful pebble beach. It means "Pupnat Harbour" because Pupnat is the closest village in the middle of the island - from there take the road to Pupnatska Luka.
Until a few years ago, there was a very long and very bad road leading down to it (the main road is very high above the beach), so most people took the shortcut down the hill on foot (30 mins down, 1h up) and because of it, there were only a few people around. Since the road had been asphalted, much more people visit the beach, and 2 rural beach bars have opened.
You can drive almost to the beach with the car, but the parking close to the beach in peak season is difficult to find.

To reach the cache, you must cross the beach, and climb the rocks on the left side, but there's a little path going to the nearby house, which brings you to some 20-30m from the cache. The rest is sharp and steep rocks, so bring appropriate footwear.
