A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Evergreen or Holm Oak
Leaves are green with silver underneath. Yellow catkins in June giving rise to acorns. Height after 10yrs over 6m.

Narrowly columnar, with dense, upright branches. Glossy, dark green leaves. Deep red/bronze leaves in autumn.

Leathery, dark green, lobed, long leaves, turn orange-brown in autumn.
English or Pedunculate Oak
A long lived tree. Lobed leaves are dark green. Acorns are produced in abundance. Height after 10yrs over 6m.

Fast growing large tree with smooth silver grey bark. Leaves turn a superb scarlet in the autumn.

New leaves are a deep burgundy-red in spring, turning dark green, then red and orange tints in autumn.
A handsome, rare Oak with glossy leaves, pink tinted in spring, then turning deep crimson in autumn.
Pin Oak
A fast growing, large dense-headed tree with slender drooping branches and red/brown autumn foliage.
Loquat Leaf Oak
A rare, evergreen Oak with large shiny-green leaves. The new growth is a rich-purple ageing to green.
Golden Red Oak
Bright golden yellow foliage in the spring followed by intense red autumn colours.
Swamp Red Oak
Deeply-cut, glossy green leaves turn red and purple in autumn. Happy in heavy soils.
Lucombe Oak
A large, spreading, semi-evergreen tree, with dark green, oblong, deeply lobed leaves with a hairy underside.
