81-year-old man arrested on 10 child porn counts

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - An 81-year-old Mt. Airy man faces multiple charges after admitting to knowingly downloading and viewing child porn, his arrest report shows.

Phillip Brice is held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case Thursday morning.

Brice came to the attention of the Regional Electronics and Computer Investigations Unit (RECI), a multi-jurisdictional task force including Cincinnati police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

They searched his Feltz Avenue home on Wednesday after receiving 20 cybertips about a large number of “CSAM files” from the internet that were crimes against children, his arrest slip shows.

Federal law prohibits the production, advertisement, transportation, distribution, receipt, sale, access with intent to view, and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The production of CSAM creates a permanent record of the child’s victimization.
