Cardamine lyrata

Cardamine lyrata has round green leaves that gives it an appearance similar to a small version of pennywort.  Cardamine lyrata is a marsh plant that is happy growing in a cool aquarium. In warm water, the leaves become smaller and the internodes ("stems" between leaves) become longer.  It is can be used in a variety of positions in the aquarium, depending on how it is trimmed.  Trim back stems of Cardamine when they become too long and remember that you can plant these stems in the aquarium to make new plants.
