Karakaberry, (Rubus Fruticosus).


Karakaberry is a hybrid blackberry developed by New Zealand's HortResearch from a cross between two berries referred to as "M103" and "N71".
Glossy and way bigger than all other blackberries, it can get up to 50-60mm long and weighs about 10g (a third of an ounce). Could be the longest among blackberries in the world!
karakaberry 's fruit is very juicy, sweet and has a very special taste which is very different to other blackberries. they can be eaten fresh or made into jam or fruit wine.
the plant is very similar o other blackberries. its a vigorous climber so needs trellis to grow. very cold hardy, full sun to part shade.
