*Planting Guide Included*
Nuphar lutea is the perfect solution for those of us with a flair for bringing a water garden to life. After all, with its ability to thrive in full sun or part shade and poor, sandy soils, it is one of the easiest plants out there. What’s more, you can plant it in containers or directly into the muddy bottom of natural ponds - so whatever your vision, this hardy perennial will see it through with ease! And while we love its self-seeding and rhizome spreading capabilities, you needn’t worry about fighting to eradicate it if it hasn’t been contained in containers – perfect for those who weren’t born green fingers! It even has an edge over Nymphea by being able to take more shade and stay submerged in deeper water – allowing your water feature to reach dazzlingly tall heights! Popular amongst those aiming for optimum growth, Nuphar lutea is definitely worth investing in for those looking for a showstopping result.
BENEFITS OF PLANTING NUPHAR LUTEA
Nuphar lutea, commonly known as yellow water lily, is a wetland plant that offers several benefits when planted in suitable environments. Here are some reasons why you may want to consider planting Nuphar lutea:
EROSION CONTROL: Nuphar lutea has a deep and strong root system that can help to stabilize soil and prevent erosion in wetland habitats. This can help to protect the shoreline from erosion and maintain a stable and healthy aquatic environment.
HABITAT CREATION: Nuphar lutea provides an ideal habitat for aquatic wildlife, including fish, amphibians, and invertebrates. Its large leaves and floating pads offer shade, shelter, and a source of food for these creatures, contributing to the overall health and biodiversity of the aquatic ecosystem. This can help to support populations of native species and promote healthy ecosystem functioning.
WATER PURIFICATION: Nuphar lutea is known for its ability to absorb excess nutrients and pollutants from the water, helping to improve water quality and reduce the risk of environmental pollution. By filtering the water, it helps to maintain a healthy and balanced aquatic ecosystem.
AESTHETICS: Nuphar lutea is a visually appealing plant that can add interest and beauty to ponds, lakes, and other aquatic habitats. Its large, showy, and fragrant yellow flowers make it a popular choice for ornamental planting.
NATIVE SPECIES: Nuphar lutea is a native species that is well adapted to the local environment. By planting native species like Nuphar lutea, you can help to support the health and resilience of local ecosystems and the wildlife that depend on them.
FOOD SOURCE: Nuphar lutea also provides a food source for some aquatic wildlife, including waterfowl and some fish species. This can help to support healthy populations of these species and contribute to the overall ecological balance of the aquatic ecosystem.

We label each species of plants individually with their scientific and common name. We fill the excess space in the package with air pillows and packing paper to prevent the plants from receiving damage during shipping.
Carbon Emission Statement:
We carbon-offset by using recycled boxes and packing material from our local area whenever we can, and as much as we can! As a Fresh-To-Order Nursery it's part of the job to try helping ensure that Earth lasts for generations ahead. While providing beautiful plants in these areas also requires taking care of the plants that grow there. Harvesting only occurs on acres pure untouched marsh or wetlands which provide habitats for wildlife, both now and hopefully for many years to come! It is our mission to preserve these areas.
