He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Rachel Alcantar, 2 daughters, Kathryn Alcantar and Debra Alcantar-Rubin. He also leaves a sister, Mary Helen Alcantar and a brother, Anthony (Tony) Alcantar.
He served his country for 9 years in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1963. He had that rare combination of strength and gentility. Al was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was a humble, patient, and protective family man, who enjoyed the simple things in life, like spending time with his family at home. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, watching a 49er game, a Giants baseball game, or just a good Western movie.
He is now in Heaven with God, Jesus, and his loved ones that passed before him. His family that he had to leave behind on earth will see him again in Heaven. Meanwhile, he will be missed, loved, and remembered by his family.
In loving memory,
The Alcantar Family
