Jerry Leroy Potter was born on December 28, 1940 in San Fernando California. He was raised in San Fernando where he meet his wife, Dyana and they were married in 1962. He was a devoted husband, father and grampie. He was filled with love and commitment for his family.
Before he retired and moved to Arizona, he was a facilities engineer for Unisys Corp(formerly Burroughs). After retiring to Flagstaff, he volunteered his time with the State Parks, giving tours at Riordan Mansion even though he was visually impaired.
In 2005 he and Dyana moved to San Tan Valley, Arizona where he again volunteer for the State Parks at Lost Dutchmen. He was there for several years, until he could no longer see to work on the computer checking visitors into the park.
He enjoyed camping, classic cars and time spent with his family. He was a cancer survivor for 77 years and lived his life filled with the love of his family. He was a Christian who will be sorely missed by all but he might be helping God with facilities planning in heaven.
He is survived by his wife Dyana, their three children, Richard, Sheryl and Todd and their spouses April and George. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is now at peace and will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
