Barbara R. (Bielski) Arsenault, 88, of New Bedford passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Arsenault.
Mrs. Arsenault was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph and Rozalia (Ponichtera) Bielski and had been a lifelong resident of the city. Prior to retirement, she worked at Alden Corrugated Metals, New Bedford and John Hancock Life Insurance Company. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sister: Helena Avellar of New Bedford; her friend and caretaker: Christine Whittle and her husband Kevin of Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Stephen, Joseph, Peter, Richard, John and Leonard Bielski and Marion Manning, Stasia Pires, Bessie Pontes, Josephine Proulx, Sophie Hall and Jennie Thompson.
