Heads up drivers! Dense fog advisory in place until 1 p.m., then more rain this afternoon

It's set to be a rainy and foggy day in Greater Cincinnati.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a dense fog advisory until 1 p.m. Thursday. The advisory is in place for Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, and Warren counties in Ohio and Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky.

Heavy fog limits visibility along Plainfield Rd in Blue Ash, Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024. The area is under a dense fog advisory through mid-day.

Visibility will be one-quarter of a mile or less in dense areas. Hazardous driving conditions may occur.

The weather service advises that drivers slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead when commuting.

More widespread rain will continue into Thursday night. Temperatures on Thursday will be near 50 in the north and 60 in the south.

Dry conditions are in the forecast for Friday. Rain chances will return on Saturday. This rain will end west to east on Sunday, with dry weather expected Monday.

Temperatures will remain mild through the end of the week.
