The name ADENIA DIGITATA was given to the representative of the Passifloraceae family by Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler in 1897. Caudiciform plant was discovered on many states in Africa. Digitata is accustomed to well-drained soil with adequate water. It needs to be oriented in a strong sunny location for healthy growth. The plant produces a caudex up to 60 centimeters thick. One of its characteristic features is its very curved leaves. At maturity, it has a very large number of panicles with yellow-white flowers.
