This skeleton won the 1st prize in the competition of the Dutch Taxidermists Association in 1990. Very rarely offered: built skeleton of a Mata Mata water turtle. The name matamata is submitted by the local population of the distribution area of the turtle. The Indians living here had so much respect for this animal, because of its way of hunting, that they called it Matamata, which means “I kill”. Condition: very good. Look closely at the pictures, these are also a part of the description.
