While the June 1982 issue of Cosmopolitan may be the shot most associated with Brown’s modeling career, it was far from his only gig. Brown won the magazine’s “Sexiest Man’’ contest and posed for several shots, including one in the nude. Pictured, one of the tamer photos from the shoot.

Then-owner Maggie Trichon said her Boston modeling agency, Maggie Inc., represented Brown for about 10 years beginning in the 1980s. She has since sold the agency.

Trichon released several pictures of Brown that were on file at the agency.

Trichon said Brown did a lot of catalog work, posing as the “young daddy’’ or the “young businessman.’’

Brown’s wife, former Boston newscaster Gail Huff, also was represented by the agency, said Trichon. And his daughter, Arianna, is now with the agency.

Scott Brown, as a 22-year-old Boston College law student, was surrounded by an admiring Cosmopolitan magazine staff in May 1982 in New York City. Brown was chosen from a field of more than 7,000 entries in the magazine’s first-ever centerfold contest.
