Both the flavor and scent of this tea are very mild. Slightly "grassy" but overall very mild and smooth drinking. It's easy to drink and somewhat relaxing, not bad before bed, nothing in it that will keep you awake.

It comes in a resealable bag and everything inside is finely chopped, if you like a tea without bits in it, use a french press, fine strainer or an infuser with very small holes. I used a french press which left a bit of dust floating in the tea, but it wasn't objectionable.

Overall a nice tea, but don't expect either the scent or flavor to be something surprising.

I steeped about two teaspoons of alfalfa in a teapot with some boiled water for about 10 minutes. The tea had a pleasant, refreshing taste. I enjoyed it on its own, without adding any sugar. It felt satisfying as an after meal beverage.

It’s so mild tasting that I’m not even sure if I’m tasting alfalfa or just enjoying hot water with honey.

First time I prepared it I used the one tablespoon they suggested and did a three minute brew. I used a tea press and even with it’s fine mesh, tiny pieces of alfalfa were floating in the tea. But they were so small you could see them, but I didn’t taste them or even feel them in my mouth.

Next time I brewed it I did a five minute brew, and the alfalfa was in a tea sack. Nothing of the alfalfa got out of the tea bag, so the tea was nice and clear.

Both times the tea brewed into a deep yellow, and then got a little darker in color when I added honey.

The tea tastes fine, but it’s not strong or even has a flavor I can describe. I really only taste hot, honeyed water with a little flavor that I can’t describe. It’s not unpleasant, but there’s no wow factor. I was hoping for a unique flavor profile.

Funny note: when I opened the tea pouch it smelled just like the alfalfa pellets we use here on our farm. But the tea/herb is lighter in color than the dark green pellets we use.

This is my first time drinking alfalfa tea so I don’t have anything to compare it to the taste is nice and mild I like trying different teas so thats is why I got it just to see what it can do I read about the benefits of the tea and I’ll continue to drink it.
