Having never heard of the movie before it was suggested on Netflix, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by outstanding performances all around.

Angus Macfadyen, who has taken a few hits for his performance, gives a masterfully subtle, nuanced performance as Sam. To compare him to other actors is to compare Baroque to Romance periods of classical music; Romance composers had more wild flair, but Baroque is appreciated in the precision, control and details. Like a Baroque composer, Angus Macfadyen shines in the details. He can show a vast range of emotion simply by raising a brow, tilting his chin, getting a hard look in his eyes. If you aren't accustomed to watching people for these changes and reading those small subtleties of their mannerisms, you miss some of his greatness. A great performance isn't always handed to you. Sometimes you have to be invested in it but a talented actor like Angus Macfadyen makes it well worth the effort. In the end, you find yourself identifying with his character even though he is flawed and has brought much of this on himself with his questionable former life. He takes a character we may not like under other circumstances and makes him someone you are rooting for in the end.

It was a thoroughly engaging movie and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good thriller to add to their DVD library.

There was good potential for a solid film noir remake here. Ms. Henstridge has all the makings of the perfect femme fatale and almost pulls it off as Crystal of many faces. I think there was one to many twist here to make her character believable. I so much wanted to toss something at my screen when what should be a calculating femme fatale move requires sheer luck to have played out the way it did. The protagonists doubling down on stupidity is what makes a horror film but it is the fatal flaws we expect to make the film noir. And, I like my Noir gritty. This was clean where we should have been meeting the denizens of the dark side of humanity. Sam/Sean as played by A. Macfadyen was equally incomplete. Having the good sense to hide with millions in cash like he did, one would have expected him to be a bit more cautious. And while we see him cautious in some areas, we see him foolish in others. While a good film noir tale can rely on that absence of caution for the essential twists in plot, it felt quite incongruous to me here. All told this is not a bad movie as the did will with the budget and told a tale all the way through. WIth a tighter edit and a slightly revised ending or more foreshadowing of the final twists we my have had a much stronger movie.

A good story line and well acted by all characters. The weakest link may have been Peter Fonda, but fortunately his was a bit part.Natasha Henstridge is quite easy on the eyes and quite palatable as the femme de fatale. The character Sam was likeable but could work on his "American" accent. Film was entertaining and suspenseful.

I loved this movie! It definitely lived up to the film noir tradition, in that no one is who they seem to be and no one is an innocent party. I was drawn into the movie from the very beginning. The characters were entirely believable, from Natasha Henstridge as the femme fatale "mystery woman," to Angus MacFadyen as the owner of a used bookstore who is harboring a dark secret, to Peter Fonda as the ruthless crime lord who is out for revenge following the death of his wife and money that was stolen from him. Just when you think you have everything figured out, you're thrown a curve ball that puts you back at square one. The movie will keep you guessing until the very end -- a twist of events so surprising that I had to rewind it and watch it again.

Unbelievable, sleazy crap. Not even a good B movie. Really poor production quality, acting, melodramatic music...too painfully bad to even finish.

Well, as Bob Hope might have said: In the first sequence in this movie Natascha Henstridge is hit by a car, resulting in amnesia. Nevertheless the guys keep singing "Thanks for the Mammaries". But seriously folks this wasn't a bad film except for the cast, script, dialog and acting. I is fun to ogle Henstridge and to marvel that Peter Fonda ever stood upright on his own.

I`ve seldom seen a film with more unexpected twists and turns!
It starts with the owner of some sort of a antique bookstore, sitting behind the desk reading a pocketbook, and suddenly a customer
enters, and the sun is shining through Natasha Henstridges white dress. She asks the owner for a job in the store that seems to
have been without customers for a while. He don't need any extra hand, but when she leave, a car runs her down, and he`s involved
in getting her to hospital. It would ruin this great film to tell what`s happening from there. I`ts about people running from their past.
Nobody in this film actually are who they seems to be, and the only thing for sure, is that never have Natasha Henstridge looked
better more often in a film. Great entertainment all the time. Just get it, cause this film is Film Noire at its best.
Plenty of tensed moments, surprises, action, and some sexy scenes with Henstrige involved.
