Mark Howell

Mark Howell (1952-) was born in Liverpool of an American father teaching at the University and a Montreal-born British mother. Like his mother he grew up in North West London. He has resided in London ever since apart from two months in America as a student (prior to graduating from Nottingham University in engineering) and a number of summers in a house he built in France. At an early stage in his career in telecommunications, head-hunting and property he also gained a masters degree in economics from London University. He has been inspired to write and publish numerous songs over the years and began his first novel in 2000. Its writing was intermittent while he raised three fine sons. It was completed in 2015 and the second stemming from it is now underway with a third already planned. A Labour Party member continuously since 1969, he takes a keen interest in current developments.
