About 28 species of pinnate, solitary monoecious, larger palms from Madagascar, Thailand, New Guinea, Sumatra, Philippines etc. Most of these are palms with very upright leaves, closely spaced and often weeping leaflets and pseudo/open crownshafts. Many of the photos below are unidentified species, which is not that surprising as some look a LOT alike. Most are fairly cold sensitive but a few have been coddled along in a Mediterranean climate for some years, though unsure if any to adulthood. New species seem to be discovered frequently.
