    Leading directors have conceded companies may need to re-think CEO pay levels and be more transparent about the difference between CEO and worker pay in an effort to win back community trust.

    Kathleen Bailey-Lord, director of Bank of Queensland, QBE Insurance and Melbourne Water, blamed the lack of trust in business, evident in the 2020 Edelman Trust Barometer, partly on the large gap between the pay packets of CEOs and average workers.
