Description: We simply love this one and are ecstatic to finally be able to offer it for sale! We suspect this plant is actually Aeonium x rowleyi which is a hybrid between (Aeonium smithii x spathulatum) * Please read comments below.....but until we can confirm identification, we will simply call it A. spathulatum hybrid for now.

Plants are only small growing reaching around 60cm in height and develop beautiful tones of orange on the older foliage throughout spring and when grown in good light. Over summer the plants undergo an extreme transformation where the rosette close forming tiny "lollipop" shaped heads.

Plant Care: Grow in good light to bring out the best colours. Like Aeonium spathulatum this hybrid makes an amazing bonsai plant and always gets a lot of interest in our nursery when it is in its dormant state and due to the stunning orange colours.

Origins : We suspect this plant is a form of Aeonium x rowleyi, a hybrid between (Aeonium smithii x spathulatum)

Comments: We can see distinct traits of both species in this plant. Besides the flowers (which are usually the key identifying characteristic) comparatively we are looking at the leaves and comparing marginal gland structures and other leaf characteristics. Before we write a detailed analysis, we will wait until the plants produce some flowers to help us confirm the correct identification.
