Utagawa Kunisada woodblock Flowers (Hana) Triptych from his series "Snow, Moon and Flowers" of 1847-52. Later edition, original with green grass. Utagawa Kunisada (Japanese, 1768-1865), also known as Toyokuni III. 1950s frame. Provenance: Dr. Hugh McCormick Smith (1865-1941), world famous naturalist, medical doctor & ichthyologist with many years in Japan & Siam (1923-35). By descent to his maternal grandson Hugh Claudy. Each by sight: 13 3/8" x 9 3/8".
