Lauren Hutton admitted to feeling a bit woozy at the Bottega Veneta show as she just ended filming “I Feel Pretty” four days before flying to Milan. Her role? “Finally age-appropriate,” said Hutton, who plays the grandmother of actress Amy Schumer. “[In the movie] I own a giant cosmetic company,” she explained. The film, which is coming out at the end of June, is Hutton’s first in 32 years. “I was terrified, my hand was shaking,” she mimicked.
Hutton is also writing a book on what she calls her “adventures. I’ve been blessed, I met so many great people and mentors. I want to talk about them and about love, which always comes first; work, which is fashion and films, and my travels.” Hutton confided that she was going to Venice “for inspiration,” to write — and “perhaps a few Bellinis, no?”
Asked about the supermodels at the Versace show the evening before, the conversation turned toward the role of women and their rights. “We are getting a little smarter” about the issue, she said.
