Templetonia stenophylla

Glabrous subshrub to 0.6 m high; stems few, erect, prostrate or straggling. Leaves oblong to linear, 1–7 cm long, 0.2–0.6 cm wide; apex obtuse or shortly mucronate; stipules inconspicuous. Flowers 1 or 2 per axil; pedicels glabrous, 4–8 mm long, with a basal bract and a pair of ovate bracteoles at or above midway; calyx 4–8 mm long, the 2 upper lobes united except for the short acute apices, glabrous except for hairs on margins of lobes; ovary stipitate, glabrous. Pod obliquely oblong-elliptic, 1.6–2.6 cm long, on a stipe which exceeds the calyx, 1–8-seeded; seeds elliptic, reddish-brown. Flowers Sep.–Oct.
