Comments: This immature Hooded Vulture had fed well on the carcase of a small beaked whale washed up on the beach near Bijilo in The Gambia. It was in no hurry to move and allowed a close approach. The image was taken in harsh overhead light at midday; I used fill-flash to enhance facial details .........................sometimes I almost sound like I know what I'm doing! ;-)   Re-worked and framed by a friend.
