Sita Navami 2023: SignificanceThis day is considered to be one of the most auspicious day. It is believed that Sita Navami is celebrated after one month of Ram Navami. According to the Hindu Scriptures, She is an incarnation of Goddess Laxmi and married to Shri Ram who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the prince of Ayodhya. There is a mention in Ramcharitmanas about Devi Sita and her life. Her life story is an inspiration to all the women out there. Her life was never easy even though she was a princess of Mithila and wife of Lord Shri Ram. In her early life she was sent to Vanvaas (exile) along with her husband Lord Rama and brother in law, Laxman. There she was abducted by demon king Ravana who took her to his kingdom, Lanka but never compromised her self respect.
She has gone through Agni Pariksha to prove her purity and after that she went to Valmiki Rishi Ashram there she gave birth to her children named Luv and Kush. She is a perfect example of a single mother who raised her children single handedly without her husband and family members. Today’s women can learn a lot of things from Goddess Sita and she is a symbol of power and strength.
