Espostoa nana


Description: 

The Espostoa nana is indigenous to Huallanca, Ancash, Peru, Western South America and parts of Southern America. This species maintains a columnar form with thick stems, branching from the base. Ribs are numerous and closely set. Whitish areolas sport approximately 30, pale yellowish radial spines. The entirety of this plant is covered in white wooly hairs (especially at the tips of the stems). Flowers are nocturnal, appearing in summer from a whitish cephalium. Easy species to cultivate, good choice for beginners. Great candidate for containers.
