Ceropegia sandersonii is succulent vine native to southern Africa. It is commonly known as the parachute or umbrella plant, named so for its highly unusual parasol shaped flowers. This species has evolved to mimic the scent of injured bees to attract the flies that feed on them. The flies become trapped inside the flowers and are only released once the flower begins to wilt.
