Today's reading elaborates and goes deeper into what we talked about yesterday: Politics. We talked about the masks you wear and touched on how we reject certain parts of ourselves. Yesterday's reading encouraged us to live authentically, stop playing politics in our lives, and take off our masks.

The card I pulled today is Integration.

We all have parts of ourselves that are in deep pain, that have been rejected. We say to those things, "That is not me." In Ken Wilber's book "No Boundary" he challenges us to find where we draw the boundary line of what is our self. Most people do not identify with their bodies as being part of this self. Most people feel that they are something intangible that lives in the brain- the body sort of dangling from that control center. I occupy the space within this body. It is the vehicle I drive around - is the way that most people feel. You might then think about the things you have in your home and the things you wear and the people around you and know that they are yours but they are not part of your self. You draw a boundary line there. Still many others have had spiritual experiences of expanding their sense of self to the grass and the people around them and the sun and every ant and insect. (aka "enlightenment") This is an interesting question what we consider to be part of our self.

It's common for a spiritual person to proclaim we're all one while also shunning his ego and other parts of himself that he claims are "not him."

This card calls you to welcome everything into the light of the infinite you. Just touch it with the light of your awareness. The chair. Welcome it. Is it part of you? your round belly, is it part of your self? Where is this boundary of you? Meditate on that.

What parts of your personality were shunned by your parents or by the society around you? You can choose whether or not you express that part of you, but please do not shun it and shame it and repress it. The beauty of this life is that perhaps you could say there is no stagnant concrete "you." For you are constantly creating yourself. We are always in a state of becoming. Everything is always in a state of becoming.

This card is about wholeness and opposites. The snake puts its tail in its mouth and forms a circle of infinity. Inside him are the cosmos. This is what you are. Infinity. In this human life you encapsulate in this story archetypes we call masculine and feminine. Active and passive energies are both active in you. Opposites and duality are such an integral part of this human experience. Allow your self to be expansive enough to hold space for all of these dualities and feel a deep experience of life.

You are free. You are free to come and go as you please through the energies of these dualities and let them move through you. You can experience all that life has to offer. Let it pass through you like the wind. Integration comes when you accept pieces of you that were shunned. It takes a lot of energy to repress things we believe to be parts of ourselves. Shame and rejection are held in our bodies. You have identified yourself with the thing that someone shunned in you once, and now it destroys you. It is not the not identifying with that rejected thing as part of you that destroys - it is that you have agreed that it should be rejected, and you continue to hold onto it while also rejecting it. Your boundary of self fights with this thing and says it is part of you and that is shameful. You are fluid. We are much more fluid than we believe ourselves to be. You have made integration a very big thing. It is oh so very painful to see these things that have been rejected and fight with them again about whether or not they should be included in what we accept of ourself. It is not such a big deal. Perhaps you can lighten up a little by thinking of yourself as more fluid and meditating on the words we have spoken about the boundaries of the self. It is not such a serious thing. You are eternal. All is well. All is just energy, and energy is fluid. You can hold onto it and grasp it as much as you want, but in the end it is only fluid. You can hold space for it all to come and go and pass through you. You can express that which you want to. You are free to express masculine and feminine energy, the forceful energy like fire, or the fluid, flowing energy of water. You are free to tell the story you want and to let it pass through you and be expressed through you as you wish and as you choose. Please just remember to be kind about it. There is no room to hate anything or to repress or reject anything, for what is you and what is not?

I've spent years integrating shunned parts of myself. It has been a painful experience. Of course, it has made me more whole and more effective and more alive and more present in life. If you're like me and you've done a lot of this work of integrating, maybe you feel a weight lifted off your shoulders to look at integration from this perspective.

Love and light to you (the boundary that I call myself wishes love and light to the boundary you call your self. :) ),
