Selene vomer - T.B.

Selene vomer, commonly known as the Lookdown, is a large schooling fish. Their base colour is silver with sometimes a little golden hue on it. Their fins (especially the caudal fin) are yellowish and the dorsal and anal fin have a long filament.

As juveniles they are sometimes found in brackish estuaries, but as adults they roam the sandy coastal areas looking for small crabs, shrimps, fishes, and worms. So make sure to offer them a varied diet of meaty food and watch out combining them with shrimps and fishes that fit their mouths!

This fish is Tank Bred and will adapts to your aquarium easier compared to a wild caught specimen!
