Mammillaria vetula subsp. gracilis

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Thimble Cactus, Mammillaria gracilis, Mammillaria fragilis

Origin: Native to Mexico.

Description: The stems on these cacti grow up to 13cm long and approximately 3cm in diameter and are heavily covered in white spines. They offset freely and form quite large clumps, offsets are quite fragile and fall off easily, but readily root.

Care: This little cacti flourish in full sun to filtered shade. They should be planted in a well draining soil, when repotting allow to stand for a week or two before watering to avoid root rot.

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. All plants are approximately the same size as in the photo, for reference, the pots in the photos are 7.5cm.
