Banksia candolleana
Banksia is a large Australian genus in Protea Family, and most of them are shrubs of various sizes. Banksia candolleana is a modest-sized shrub from the west coast of Western Australia, in the continent’s Mediterranean climate zone. The long thin leaves with zig-zag margins are a trait shared with other species in the genus. This is the first time this plant has flowered here at the Ruth Bancroft Garden.
