Ajuga Reptans 'Catlin's Giant'

Ajuga Reptans 'Catlin's Giant' is a rapidly spreading, mat-forming ground cover. It is frost hardy variety that will form a carpet of large glossy coppery-purple leaves. In Spring it produces upright, purple flower spikes up to 20 cm high. It is an excellent plant for moist areas, although it will tolerate moderately dry soils and makes a wonderful ground cover in cool, shady areas where grass will not grow.   Great for planting around other plants for beautiful colour contrast or use to cascade over retaining walls.
