MoCA Westport is pleased to present its Spring Exhibition, Smash, on view to the public from April 2 – June 13, 2021. The exhibition will be devoted exclusively to the videos of contemporary artist Marilyn Minter.

An opening reception for MoCA Westport Members will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Presented in both grandiose and intimate scales and settings throughout MoCA Westport’s galleries, Minter’s videos will be exhibited together for the first time in a public institution. Seeped in lush imagery oscillating between figuration and abstraction, Minter’s works encapsulate feminism, pleasure, voyeurism and notions of beauty, desire and chance.

Her paintings and richly colored photographs and videos have been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions and have been included in group exhibitions all over the world. We have transformed our galleries for Smash, including unique lighting and video spaces designed just for this exhibition.”
