Celebrating ‘Metropolitan’ 25 years later

Dylan Hundley, who played one of the Park Avenue debutantes in Whit Stillman’s “Metropolitan” 25 years ago, is now a suburban mom who co-founded Oomba, a social media company.

Hundley, who lives in Westchester, told me the enduring popularity of the movie — now playing at Lincoln Center and returning Friday to Los Angeles and Washington — is “pure joy.”

Stillman, meanwhile, just finished editing “Love and Friendship” — a feature adaptation of a Jane Austen story, “Lady Susan” — starring Chloë Sevigny and Kate Beckinsale.

“Everybody’s on fire,” laughed Hundley, who is featured with the rest of the “Metropolitan” cast in a two-page portrait in September’s Vanity Fair.
