Sow early indoors. Surface sow into moist well-drained seed compost. Press seeds lightly into the soil and cover with a little soil. Cover seed tray with newspaper. Keep in shade. Ideal temp. 22°C. Germination takes 15-30 days. Once seedlings appear remove the newspaper and expose it to the sun. Acclimatize and plant out once the weather warms with 30cm spacing. If the weather is inconsistent offer cloche protection.
