Taylor Orchids Retirement Sale

on

May 2, 2015: It’s the weekend and it’s a big sale at Taylor Orchids! Despite Larry having a preview the other day (story in this post), we had no idea what kind of gems we would be able to take home. It’s part of the fun!

Cirrhopetalum collettii internet picture(picture from Internet) We were just hanging around the benches chitchatting with old friends and new when we noticed these cute little Bulbos. We did not recognize the species name which typically means “buy me” for us. We’re very glad we did! Excited to see what flowers we’ll get!

Dtps. Coral Gleam internet picture(picture from Internet) I picked up this plant since it has a Vandaenopsis plant tag. I didn’t notice the other plant tag in the pot that said Dtps. Coral Gleam which this plant most likely is. We’ll just have to bloom it and see.

Bulbophyllum fletcherianumThis was a picture of the flowers from the exact plant we were able to buy today from when we visited Ron last July (story told in this post). We weren’t planning on buying one of these monster plants but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
