There are a number of different hybrids of Echeveria Agavoides, Lipstick, Maria, Prolifera, Ebony, Christmas, and Macabea, are all examples of plants that look similar, but aren’t quite the same. While they’re all relatively hardy, some a bit more than others, the full sun is going to bring out the most extreme color in these hybrid Echeverias. Here in Irvine, or other coastal communities, we should have no problem putting these echeveria in full sun. This particular photo is of an Echeveria Agavoides ‘Maria’ in a 10” pot. These beauties really do resemble the agave and it’s no wonder where they got their common name.
