Good morning everyone This morning I’d like to address an ongoing issue on my street which has apparently been going on for years even before I moved over here in 2018. A few years back, there was a transient living on the side of my apartment, building and breaking into neighbors, cars and sleeping in them, and also breaking into the carport storage cabinets items that didn’t belong to him. My son accidentally left his keys in the front door coming home one night because the cat ran out and he went to chase her but forgot that he left the keys and the next day when he was looking for them he couldn’t find them, and we figured that he left them in the door and someone stole them. Fast-forward to maybe a year or later Inglewood police contacts me regarding some keys that they found on a transient and they also told me that he had many other items that he had stolen from residence in the neighborhood. I told him yes my son‘s keys were stolen the previous year and they came out to return the keys to my son but we didn’t have any use for them at that point because we had already changed all the locks. Fast forward to this year I found out that that guy is the same guy that is back on the block, and now living in our laundry room in our apartment building! He went from living on the side of the building, and breaking into my neighbors, car and sleeping in it at night to sleeping in the laundry room and washing his clothes and doing whatever else he does in there. We have contacted Property Mgmt. concerning this issue and the most that they have done is put locks on the gate to the laundry room but this guy has broken the locks and pried the door open to get inside so he still around. Mind you my building is mostly female with one or two households that have men who are rarely here so nobody is here to confront him and make him leave for good. I’ve been told that he’s been up and down the block living in everybody’s apartment buildings and trying to live in their laundry rooms and wherever else you could find but the men in those buildings threaten him and he doesn’t frequent those buildings anymore but he’s here and we don’t feel comfortable with him here, and it’s hard to get him out because if we call the police we don’t know if he’s gonna be here when they arrive so it becomes a game of cat and mouse chase. This guy has got into arguments with elderly women here and they have threatened to call the police on him and he says he doesn’t care if they call the police on him. He said he’s gonna call the police on them and lied to Property Mgmt. when they came out one day And told them that he lives here and pointed at my neighbors apartment, and she came out and said no he doesn’t live here! There’s three of us that live on the bottom floor and we just don’t feel comfortable with this guy here because he’s bold and brazen, disrespectful, argumentative, and just a pain in the butt. Has anyone had this problem Around the Hillcrest /Eucalyptus/Arbor Vitae area?
