LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Formula One has finalized the dates for next year's Las Vegas Grand Prix, according to a new report.
The much-anticipated race is planned for Nov. 16-18, 2023, per Adam Stern with Sports Business Journal.
The new dates were presented in a 17-page Letter of Intent and confirmed as authentic with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau, according to Stern, who described the document as mostly non-binding.
The new report comes as Liberty Media, which owns Formula One, announced a settlement in a lawsuit over promoting the Las Vegas race.
Liberty Media had filed a suit against the company P2M Motorsports over promoting a race in the Las Vegas valley. The LVCVA and advertising company R & R Partners were additional parties in the suit and also agreed to the settlement, according to a press release.
"We are pleased to move past this matter so that we may focus our local efforts exclusively on creating a marquee event for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in November 2023," Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula One, said in a statement.
The terms of the agreement will remain confidential.
