Wylie “Pat” Henning beloved husband of the late Joan Henning (Beaudry) passed away January 24, 2023 at the age of 89 years.

Pat was born in Kerrobert Saskatchewan, July 2, 1933. In his early years he moved to Edmonton with his widowed mother Jean and his brothers and sister.

His mother provided for the family as a talented seamstress and was the inspiration for Pat’s future calling as a well-known Haberdasher and Bespoke Custom Tailor.

Pat attended Scona High School and had friends, fun, and football. He later played for the Edmonton Huskies. During this time, he was visiting a friend in the hospital and met Nurse Joan who became his wife, his best cheerleader, his love until she passed.

They shared a love that was magical. He shared that magic with another family.

On September 12, 1964, Pat found a sober life through AA. For 58 years he shared his story, vulnerabilities, help, hope, encouragement, provided healing and inspiration to so many people travelling a journey to get sober, stay sober, find a better life and be happy.

Wylie, we will always remember your incredible love and service to all families.
