Abstract
Five species of the genusLeucodon are recognized from Taiwan. Three new species are described:L. formosanus H. Akiyama sp. nov.,L. sphaerocarpus H. Akiyama sp. nov., andL. temperatus H. Akiyama sp. nov.L. morrisonensis is treated as a distinct taxon.L. coreensis is reported from Taiwan for the first time. All species have pseudoparaphyllia, lack central strands of stems and occur in the higher elevation. Keys, descriptions and illustrations are provided for all species.
