Abstract
Sobralia minutiflora Baranow, sp. nov, a new species of the section Abbreviatae Brieger from Colombia is described and illustrated. All Colombian representatives of the section are characterized. A key for their determination is followed by detailed descriptions of their morphology. Figure showing the floral parts for each species is provided. An epitype for Sobralia biflora Ruiz & Pav. and lectotypes for S. biflora, Sobralia buchtienii Schltr., Sobralia klotzscheana Rchb.f., Sobralia lowii Rolfe, Sobralia violacea Linden ex Lindl. have been selected.
