Abstract

Cheiridopsis N.E.Br. GC 1925: 433; Hartmann & Dehn 1987: 567–663; Hammer Bradleya 1994: 75–85; Hammer 1996: 59–87; Hartmann 2001: 117–128 Typus C. rostrata Etym Gk cheiris, cheiridis, sleeve, -opsis, similar to; in allusion to the sheath of the short leaf-pair surrounding the long leaf-pair basally like a sleeve during the resting period.
