Botany and Ecology

Pyrethrum parthenifolium Willd.

Perennial erect herb to 70 cm high with a short taproot. Stems are very leafy. Leaves are finely dissected, regularly lobed, and have glandular hairs. Lower leaves disposed on petioles, pinnately lobed and with blunt teeth, withering early. Upper leaves are simpler, smaller and weakly lobed. Flower heads (5–20) disposed on long stalks, born from arching inflorescences. Florets of white rays and yellow discs, disposed on long stalks. Bracts are rough-textured and herbaceous....
