Overview

Based on the 1975 series, the show follows a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant who is torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a highly-trained unit that’s the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles.

In May 2023, the series was canceled after six seasons at CBS,Ā only to be renewed for a seventh and final season at CBS a few days later. The same thing happened at the end of the seventh season.
