It is depressing and funny--not a good combination, but that's what makes it good. I'll rewatch this. Great cinematography and child actors.

Benjamin B. Smith was 17 when he starred in this film as 9 year old depressed kid who probably grew up to be James in the end of the fucking world

to me this was like a little bite-sized wes anderson movie so i loved it a lot
I absolutely laughed my head off at one bit during this. Considering the title as well, that kind of paints the picture that I'm a sick bastard. It's slightly moving, Wes Anderson style I'm told, but I hated Moonrise Kingdom so much I couldn't watch it. But this was good.
The set designs are all bright and colourful, a weird polar opposite of the Timothy's personality. Timothy is also well played, as are the supporting cast, that don't really do all that much.
Saddest Boy in the World is a great short, funny and moving and all in 13 minutes.
