Jakobs Vineyards

Jakob's Vineyards

The project was for a masterplan and detail design of a "place of pause". Due to the nature of the site and its context the development of a methodology of managing the natural vegetation became important. The Masterplan addressed the increase of biodiversity between the existing vineyards by proposing a mix of the endemic vegetation of the area. New orchards were proposed and an area identified for a place where the client would be able to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The client is a private person who acquired the land to produce grapes and small quantities of wine to be enjoyed in the area provided.

The detailed area was designed to proved screening and a variation of areas that integrates the agricultural patterns and creating a space which allows the user to feel comfortable, sheltered and yet be surrounded by the natural beauty.

The Client is a private landowner who is dedicated to ecological regeneration on his parcel of land.
