Description

Acrocarpous moss.

Size

Stem 1–2 cm, seta sometimes up to 15 cm.

Sporangium

Sporophytes are brightly colored and produce a landing site (paraphysis) and odor similar to dung to attract flies, which transport the sticky spores to new substrates.
