Aphyosemion australe Orange
Non-Annuals are not seasonal. They live in permanent and not temporary waters. Their lifespan could be as long as a 2-3 years. Such species normally lay eggs everywhere though they prefer to lay eggs on plants. Some species prefer to lay eggs on plants near the surface and some species prefer to lay eggs near the bottom. Eggs of non-annuals develop very quickly in water if fertilized properly by the male. Incubation time could be as short as 1-2 weeks. Similar to annual eggs, incubation time gets longer if the temperature is cooler or if the eggs are not totally submerged in water. If put on wet peat, incubation time would become longer at 4-6 weeks.
